Aim of the congress
The mission of this conference is to provide physical trainers and physiotherapists with high quality training in the area of Reconditioning and Prevention of Injuries in Football. With this objective, the three guest speakers combine extensive research and practical experience with top-level soccer players.

Assessment of sprinting ability and mechanics and its relation to hamstring injury management
​Jean Benoit Morin
​Jean-Benoit (JB) Morin is a Full Professor at the University of Saint-Etienne (France), and a member of the Interuniversity Laboratory of Human Movement Biology (LIBM). He is also an associate researcher of the Sports Research Institute of New-Zealand (SPRINZ) at Auckland University of Technology and visiting Professor in Locomotion Biomechanics at the School of Sport, Exercise and Health Science at Loughborough University. His main fields of research are human locomotion and performance, with specific interest in running biomechanics and maximal power movements. He has published over 160 peer-reviewed scientific papers and is a consultant for professional football teams.

​Jurdan Mendiguchia
​Jurdan holds a Degree in Physiotherapy from Ramón Llull University. He was formed at Cincinnatti Childrens's Hospital (Tim Hewett) and University of Waterloo (Dr Stuart McGill, Kinesiology Department, Canada). He has published relevant research papers on reconditioning and injury prevention in football in leading international journals. He is also a consultant for football, NBA, NFL, track and field athletes, and professional football teams (e.g. Spanish Liga, Premier League and Ligue 1) since 2012. He is a world expert when it comes to injury prevention and rehabilitation, particularly in hamstrings and ACLs.

Martin Buchheit
​Martin Buchheit is a consultant and speaker for various organizations and holds the position of Head of Performance at Lille OSC. His work (>200 publications) has focused on intervention strategies and profiling assessments that may improve players’ physical and technical potential, using a scientific approach whenever possible. He has extensive experience with fitness and strength training, injury prevention, recovery, nutrition, match analysis and youth development. He has been ranked as the 4th (2019) to 6th (2021) scientific expert in soccer in the world, he has been the Head of Performance at Paris Saint-Germain FC (2014-2020) and worked at the Aspire Academy in Qatar (2009-2014).
